Adventure 16 - Jedi Hunter Redux

The party journeys to Nar Shaddaa to again meet with Jorda the Hutt. They seek to obtain underworld in-roads to Iridonia such as smuggler’s jump points. Jorda provides for the party in the form of a local Zabrak smuggler, Ooth Dep, but asks that they remember his benevolence in the future. The party tracks down Ooth Dep and outsmarts his traps to gain audience with him. Ooth provides the vital smuggler routes into the Iridonia system. While making their way back to the ship, the party is led into an ambush with the Jedi Hunter that tried to take down Joh-Kel a few months before. This time, Joh-Kel absorbs a direct hit from the Hunter and immediately transfers that energy into a fatal blow on the Hunter instead. The Hunters spectating minions silently fade away into the Nar Shaddaa night. With a way into Iridonia, the party finally winds its way across the galaxy to the home system of the Zabrak. Upon arrival, the Stormhawk is set upon by patrolling fighters over Iridonia itself. Missiles bring the Stormhawk down and the party crash lands in the harsh jungles of the planet.

Adventure 15 - A New Mission

The next chapter to the campaign begins with a somber funeral ceremony atop the Jedi Temple plaza. The party attends and the scene is especially poignant for Xek, whose previous Master was killed in the attack on the Temple. Afterwards, the party, minus Tyson and plus Xek, take possession of the Stormhawk and is given a mission deep behind enemy lines expected to take months – liberate the Iridonian homeworlds which were among the first to fall in the invasion, and do so with minimal damage to their manufacturing capabilities. Nikos will also accompany them on this mission. En route to Iridonia, the team stops at Alderaan so Joh-Kel can consult with his old Master regarding symptoms of an unusual affliction he has been experiencing since his captivity. His Master determines that Joh-Kel has been injected with Sith poison and describes the grim fate of all previous victims of Sith poison. With no warning, he attacks Joh-Kel to test his commitment to the light side of the Force, pressing him to his very limits to see if he will draw on the dark side and succumb further to the poison. Joh-Kel resists and his Master is hopeful that Joh-Kel can find a way to beat the poison. Even so, he vows to travel the galaxy in search of a serum for his apprentice and says he will keep a distant eye on him, if he can. Afterwards, the party resumes its journey and sets course for Nar Shaddaa to meet another old acquaintance.

Adventure 13 - The Hands of the Clock

Our heroes take the Stormhawk to Nar Shaddaa for repairs and while there, they set out to dig up more information on the space pirates. In a cantina, they overhear a spacer talking about an asteroid frozen in time while out on his last supply run. They take the lead from the spacer to pose as a delivery freighter to a research space station near this asteroid. They infiltrate the base to find it manned by a skeleton crew and a crazy scientist that says he made a device that can alter the properties of time in a localized area to effectively stop it. He says he also made devices that people can wear to operate at a more “normal” pace of time within this field, out to about a 3 meter radius. Putting the pieces together, the party determines that the pirates are actually led by the dark side Force users who have claimed the heritage of the Sith Empire and they intend to use this technology to attack the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Taking the doctor and the remaining and extremely limited supply of time flow devices they hurriedly get back to their ship and send warning to Coruscant by calling Quintis. After that, they plot a jump to the Core via the most dangerous routes in the hopes of beating the enemy to the punch. Meanwhile, after the comm clicks off on Coruscant, Quintis just sits back and smiles.

The party is freed from incarceration by Kell, who is also infiltrating the mine with the objective of taking out the command center to bring down the base’s defenses and allow the Razor to come in and support an all out rescue operation. Joining forces, the team strikes at the heart of the command center, and after being briefly separated in the fighting, they come upon Kell retreating through a corridor while deflecting blaster bolts with a lightsaber. During the escape of the underground mine complex, the party has a showdown with Kaox Krul, his Echani lieutenant, and a squad of pirate commandos. Though victorious, Kaox escapes amidst the hectic fighting. The adventure in the mines concludes with a running blaster battle out of the complex while covering the flight of the freed miners up the boarding ramp of a hovering Razor. On the return voyage to the Aduba system, an elderly Zabrak woman reveals to Oon that her name and family history may be other than she has believed for her entire life. Also, Kell confines the party to quarters after having learned during all the fighting that Joh-Kel is Jedi. He now also suspects the party is more than they seem. Kell also carries with him some recovered data cards that seem to indicate Vox is selling out routes of the escort missions to space pirates, but he doesn’t call it in because Vox commands the base while Kilbourne is on a mission, the last anyone knew.
